The National Youth Foundation was founded in 1947 and it is a Legal Person of Private Right supervised by the Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs.
 
Its mission is to support the school and student youth, as well as to develop a series of cultural, educational and social activities. The total number of Greek and foreign resident students that the National Youth Foundation helps and offers its services to, exceeds the number of 10.000 individuals annually.
The National Youth Foundation with its programmes encourages a wider number of people, to participate in the activities offered, such as school and university students, local institutions, teachers, athletic unions, several organisations and senior citizens.
